Reclaiming Artwork

The concept of ‘reclaiming artwork’ is based on working with mass-produced items such as prints or hand-crafted paintings available in quantity from various discount shops. The Idea is to transform the article in question into a unique item. 

I hope this process will raise questions relating to marketing and global production, in particular the value which is placed on items. This may relate to the viewer’s perception of an item and the perceived quality or cultural value.
